About the Job:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant with SEN expertise to join our team at a vibrant secondary school in the Wirral. As a key member of the support staff, you will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality educational experiences for students.

Your responsibilities will include supporting students with their educational and social development, providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils who need additional help, and helping to manage classroom behaviour.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children (in school settings, care roles, youth work, etc.)
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for education
  • An understanding of SEN is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel
