About the Role

In this role, you'll join our Professional Services Technical team, which enables clients to seamlessly migrate to or between Education Horizons products and make the most of their data through powerful insights and on-brand reports. You'll work alongside your peers to share knowledge, lift the broader team, and enable them to perform at their best.

We're looking for candidates with a primary specialty in reporting (Stimulsoft, Crystal, PowerBI) but interested in developing a broader technical and data skillset. You'll contribute to our team's expertise in database skills, troubleshooting, integrations, and project delivery.

Key Responsibilities and Areas of Authority

Report Creation

  • Develop reports using Stimulsoft, Crystal Reports, and/or Power BI.
  • Create visually appealing and informative reports with clear charts, graphs, and tables.

Database Skills

  • Write complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
  • Design and normalize database schemas.
  • Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) for migrating data between disparate sources.

Troubleshooting

  • Use database profiling tools to troubleshoot complex performance issues.
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve optimal outcomes.

Integrations

  • Integrate APIs, web services, or other third-party applications with the database.
  • Use intermediary file formats (CSV, XLSX) and SQL Server Agent to generate, transfer, and/or consume data.

Project Delivery

  • Estimate time and resources required for technical tasks.
  • Mitigate deliverable risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate budget constraints and negotiate with stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
  • A strong technical background with experience in Stimulsoft, Crystal Reports, Power BI, SSRS, XSLT, T-SQL, and Python Scripting.
  • A strong capacity to engage and collaborate with various groups, including colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • An ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently to meet established deadlines.
  • Effective client liaison skills, with the ability to deal confidently with difficult situations and challenging clients.
