Job Title: Senior Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Pharmacy Technician to join our Technical Services team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmacy services, including sterile and non-sterile dispensing, quality assurance, and staff management and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the workload and workflow for sterile and non-sterile dispensing in the technical services unit.
  • Assist with generating reports on technical services unit performance, including quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Ensure that all legal and procedural requirements are met and that all records are maintained.
  • Supervise staff working in Technical Services unit, including induction and performance appraisal of relevant staff.
  • Assist with managing performance and all other human resource issues for technicians and assistants working in Technical Services.
  • Ensure that all technical services and rotational staff in the technical services unit receive appropriate induction, ongoing training, and validation.
Requirements:
  • BTEC or NVQ 3 Pharmaceutical Sciences equivalent recognised qualification.
  • GPHC registered.
  • Training undertaken within a hospital environment.
  • Recent relevant BAND 4 Technician with experience in NHS Technical services experience.
Desirable:
  • Completion of any HEE or LPET courses.
