We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a hospital in Oxford. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and be mechanically qualified/bias (C&G or NVQ).
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain mechanical plant, including pumps, motors, seals, and bearings.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as air conditioning and water treatment.
- Carry out plumbing repairs and maintenance, including unblocking toilets and replacing taps.
- Monitor BMS systems and perform basic electrical duties.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital.
- Mechanical qualifications - NVQ or City & Guilds.
- Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
- Multi-skilled and able to work independently.
- Good communication skills and ability to gain Enhanced DBS.
- Any further qualifications in electrical or air conditioning.
- Experience working in a hospital environment.
- Water treatment qualifications (L8).
