We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at MWH Treatment. As an Assistant Buyer/Buyer, you will play a key role in providing procurement and supply chain activities in line with Company and Client policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating, collating, analysing, and processing consolidated invoicing for key Framework suppliers.
- Proactively maintaining supplier records within IFS (our ERP system).
- Proactively managing committed costs within IFS, clearing down old costs where required.
- Supporting the Procurement team members in other duties where required, such as reporting and cost analysis.
- Supplier Performance Management, monthly reporting, and developing improvement plans where necessary.
- Collaboratively developing/ preparing and issuing tender packages with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of targets, improve supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement plans.
- Managing commercial terms, conditions, and levels of service (inc. KPI's) with suppliers.
- Maintaining and enhancing IFS (our ERP system).
- Establishing and developing excellent working relationships with Clients; Customers; Suppliers, internal functions, and other relevant external bodies.
- Maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach to work, providing open and honest feedback.
- Working with the SHEQ team to ensure the supply chain meets its Health and Safety obligations and carries out commensurate corrective action where necessary.
- Supporting with any requirements from internal and external audits where required.
- Harnessing innovative solutions from existing and future supply chain partners.
- Undertaking such other duties, training, and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required, and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role.
- Ensuring your own continuous professional development by participating in external networking/conferences/associations/groups/training, to stay current on industry changes and innovations.
- In all internal and external contact, presenting a professional and positive image of the department/company, as well as maintaining mutually constructive, positive, and beneficial relationships.
