About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Nouvita Healthcare. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of our adult community mental health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of a comprehensive treatment service for adults with mental health problems, based on evidence-based practice.
  • Work collaboratively with a multi-professional team to ensure high-quality care that meets regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the performance of Consultant Psychiatrists, ensuring systems are in place for appraisal and revalidation.
  • Represent the organization externally, raising the profile of our services and establishing relationships with commissioners and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in quality enhancement and service evaluation projects, and contribute to research relevant to service improvement.
  • Lead the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program for the hospital, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in Psychiatric Intensive Care Units (PICUs) and Acute Services.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current practices in in-patient psychiatry.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-professional team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
