A leading manufacturing company based in Edinburgh seeks a highly skilled Graduate Mechanical Production Engineer to join their team.

This exciting opportunity involves providing technical support to production operations, driving continuous improvement, and implementing Lean Manufacturing principles. The successful candidate will have the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Mainstream Health and Safety protocols across production floor teams.
  2. Implement innovative health and safety enhancements in manufacturing processes.
  3. Develop comprehensive risk assessments for manufacturing activities.
  4. Liaise with the quality department to optimize SOP documentation.
  5. Design and deliver tailored training programs for new employees.
  6. Update and maintain accurate manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and specifications.
  7. Drive quality excellence in manufacturing processes.
  8. Contribute to the development of production line designs, layouts, and tooling.
  9. Participate in new product launch projects.
  10. Drive cost-saving and process efficiency initiatives.

Salary Range: £28,000 - £32,000 per year.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Experience working in production or FMCG environments.
  3. Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks or AutoCAD). Desired skills include experience with Health and Safety systems.
  4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
