Cheese Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cheese Specialist to join our team at Nouvelle Maison, a brand new food retail venture in downtown Winchester. As a Cheese Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining up-to-date knowledge on types of cheese, and assisting customers in their selections.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with customers, answering questions, and recommending products
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on types of cheese, along with their flavor profiles and origins, and pairings
• Cut and wrap cheese and charcuterie products for customers and displays
• Keep the cheese display neat and well-stocked, along with other areas of the store, as needed
• Monitor inventory levels, rotating stock, and alerting buyers to order products as needed
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
• Perform opening and/or closing duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to work with people of various backgrounds
• Availability to work weekday, weekend, morning, and evening shifts
• Flexibility and understanding that, as a new store, procedures are subject to change as needed
• Must have reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits:

• $18-20 / hr (plus additional "house fee")
