Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Respond promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnose problems, and perform effective repairs to minimise downtime
  • Monitor and calibrate equipment to maintain quality and safety standards, adhering to HACCP principles and IEE qualification where applicable
  • Collaborate closely with production teams to identify process improvements and implement changes that enhance productivity and efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities to facilitate informed decision-making and support continuous improvement
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines and company policies to create a safe working environment

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in the FMCG industry
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, with a proactive approach to maintenance and commitment to equipment reliability
