Salary: £84 - £99 per day
TeacherActive is working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Sheffield to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. The school provides a well-designed curriculum that is balanced, inclusive, and personalized to each child's needs.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in SEND schools and with children who have autism and a range of learning difficulties. They will be patient, resilient, and calm, with a passion to make a difference in children's and young people's lives.
The role involves giving meaningful choices to students with a range of learning difficulties and complex needs. The successful Learning Support Assistant will be part of a dedicated team that provides support to students with profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with autism and a range of learning difficulties
- Provide individualized support to students with complex needs
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop personalized learning plans
- Assist in the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment
