High-Level Data Engineer for Smart Sensor Systems

The Role
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Data Engineer to design and build Convolutional Neural Networks for Smart Sensors, firmware for automotive IOT devices, and help with data engineering tasks like data workflow, gathering, and analysis. You will participate in all aspects of the project end-to-end, from machine learning to data engineering and embedded systems development.
About the Job
This role involves working across multiple teams to ensure project objectives are met. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with Product Management and Engineering departments to understand company needs and devise solutions. Your strong technical skills, combined with your ability to communicate results and ideas to key decision makers, make you an ideal fit for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Embedded Systems: Troubleshooting and designing device firmware; working with hardware vendors to identify solutions; defining technical requirements and validating vendor implementation for new features; maintaining and enhancing in-house developed firmware.
- Data Engineering: Building duplicatable and high-scale ML data pipelines alongside machine learning engineers; designing database management solutions running in parallel; building highly secured, scalable, and reliable ETLs; assisting in deployment and monitoring of Spireon's Machine Learning Models; collecting data and analyzing real-world data and metrics.
- Machine Learning: Designing and developing algorithms for challenging vision classification and detection problems; researching and developing statistical learning models for data analysis; implementing Computer Vision and ML algorithms; prototyping ML algorithms.
Requirements:
- Overall understanding and experience with Embedded Systems.
- Understanding of AI training and inference techniques.
- Solid foundation of general machine learning systems.
- Understanding of Convolutional Neural Networks Classification, Object Detection, Segmentation.
- Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Python.
- Experience working with machine learning frameworks and libraries (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Programming language experience with C/C++.
- Experience with OpenCV, AWS Sagemaker, and AWS S3.

Salary Estimate:$130,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
