We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Global Markets Audit Team as a Vice President. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership in executing audit's assurance coverage over State Street's Global Markets Division for the UK and APAC region.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing, public accounting, or enterprise risk management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. They will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive audit strategies, participating in the development of a risk-based audit plan, and supporting the execution of the plan through the review and approval of audit work products.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive understanding of various international regulatory regimes and ensuring audit coverage requirements are properly considered. They will prepare and deliver periodic management reports to key stakeholders, including executive management and governance committees.
The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build and maintain effective partnerships with key senior leaders in the UK and APAC Global Markets organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive audit strategies for Global Markets activities in the UK and APAC.
- Participate in the development of a risk-based audit plan through the execution of detailed risk assessments.
- Support the execution of the risk-based audit plan through the review and approval of audit work products.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of various international regulatory regimes and ensure audit coverage requirements are properly considered.
- Prepare and deliver periodic management reports to key stakeholders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting, or enterprise risk management.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Advanced degree or certification (CFA, FRM, CPA, CIA, CISA) preferred.
- Experience executing or auditing capital markets, including electronic trading platforms.
- Experience in developing and executing audit programs for information technology general controls.
