Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Director to lead our skills development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive skills development strategy that aligns with our business goals and the needs of our stakeholders and communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for skills development that meets the needs of our stakeholders and communities.
  • Lead a team of Assistant Directors and Heads of Department to ensure the delivery of high-quality skills training programmes.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Management Team to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation in skills development.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of training programmes to ensure they meet the latest industry standards and learner/employer needs.
  • Develop and manage the directorate's annual budget to ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic objectives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, business administration, human resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum Level 5 leadership and management qualification.
  • Minimum Level 5 Education and Training qualification.
  • Minimum of GCSE Grade C/4 in English and maths.
  • Driving licence and car available for use.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Master's degree in education, leadership, or a related field.
  • Professional qualifications in training, education, or project management.
  • Extensive experience in skills development, vocational training, or adult education.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing large-scale training programmes.
