Meridian Business Support is seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting practice, you will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Maintain up-to-date financial information by processing monthly and quarterly bookkeeping records
* Prepare and submit VAT returns and statutory accounts to HMRC
* Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide exceptional customer service

**Requirements:**

* Currently studying towards AAT, ACA, or ACCA qualifications
* Previous experience as a Junior Accountant or Accounts Assistant
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with IRIS Accounts Production and Sage are advantageous
