Job Title: Teaching Assistant (with personal care responsibilities)

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate teaching assistant to support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) and assist with personal care responsibilities. This is a fixed-term contract until 31/08/2025, based on funding, and the hours are full-time (Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and provide support for identified pupils with SEN, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
  • Meet the specific medical needs of identified pupils during the school day, with appropriate training.
  • Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programmes, adjusting activities according to pupil responses.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
Requirements:
  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience.
  • GCSE Maths & English grades 9-4 (A-C).
  • Knowledge of school standards and procedures or willingness to train.
  • Experience of supporting the social, emotional, and educational development of students.
