Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Audio Engineer to join our team at Butlin's Minehead. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting the delivery of live events and productions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating sound, lighting, and AV equipment for productions and shows. They will also assist with venue support, including installing and maintaining sound, lighting, and video systems, as well as programming Qlab and other control methods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate sound, lighting, and AV equipment for productions and shows
  • Venue support: install and maintain sound, lighting, and video systems, program Qlab and other control methods
  • Build sets, stage, and upkeep props and sets for shows and activities
  • Heavy lifting and moving of stages, staging, sets, scenery, and related equipment
  • Maintain asset register and perform planned/reactive maintenance of inventory
  • Upkeep of back-of-house team and artist areas
Requirements

Previous technical experience in received theatre, live music, touring theatre, or live events and conferences is required. Hands-on experience with installation and operation of Yamaha, GrandMA, Qlab, Resolume, Novastar, and general familiarity with audio and lighting networks is preferred.

A willingness to learn and share, build skills and knowledge, and implement best practices across teams and venues at Minehead and other Butlins resorts is essential. Being a great team player and enjoying the buzz of a busy environment are must-haves.

What We Offer

This role offers a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including opportunities for career development and progression within the company.
