Technology Audit Specialist

London, Greater London, United Kingdom RSM Full time
About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Technology Audit team as a specialist from the start of your career. Our Technology Audit programme will support you in learning and developing all the required skills to become a Technology Audit Specialist.

You will work as an integrated part of an audit team to provide an opinion on companies' financial statements. Our audit purpose is to build confidence in the financial statements of the businesses we audit, so shareholders, owners, and other stakeholders can use that information in decision-making.

As a member of our team, you will use your ability to understand the technology a client uses and how it supports their business. You will assess what can go wrong and how it might impact the business. Then, by assessing what is relevant for the financial statement audit, you will test the client's controls as a crucial part of RSM's audit procedures and report findings within our team and to the client.

What We Look For

We are looking for enthusiastic self-starters who are always up for a challenge. Technology Audit is a technically demanding discipline, so we look for students who are quick to grasp new subjects. It's essential you also have an interest in technology, good communication skills, and great attention to detail.

You will often need to explain technology risks and their impact on financial operations to non-technology specialists, so you will need excellent written and verbal communication skills. What separates us from our competitors is the IT and financial acumen we demonstrate, and we expect that right from the start from our people.

Workplace Environment

At RSM, we work hard to create an environment where our people can make a difference - to themselves, their career, their teams, and to the success of our firm and clients. We support all our people to work flexibly, to manage their family and other responsibilities alongside their work commitments; we believe this is key to achieving an inspiring and fulfilling working environment.

Diversity and Inclusion at RSM

Inclusion and diversity are central to our values. We have an authentic focus on intentional inclusion, enabling our people to feel they can bring their whole self to work and ensuring everyone feels supported, respected, and confident to make a valuable contribution.

Entry Requirements

At RSM, we don't just look for good exam results. We think passion, personality, and originality are just as important.

You will need:

  • 112 UCAS (new tariff) across 3 A Levels or an equivalent level 3 qualification or 104 UCAS (new tariff) across 4 Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers.
  • A predicted or obtained honours degree.

UCAS changed their points system, so under the old tariff, it would be 280 or 260 points respectively.
