Senior Accountant Vacancy

Oasis Business Personnel Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a part or fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional with a proven track record in a practice environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Preparation and review of statutory accounts and tax returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  2. Management of a portfolio of clients, providing expert advice and support to maintain strong relationships.
  3. Staff supervision and mentorship, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  4. Business development and networking, pursuing opportunities to expand our reach.
  5. Workflow management, prioritizing tasks and delegating responsibilities as needed.
  6. Preparing Self Assessments, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  7. Advising clients on tax-related matters, providing expert guidance and support.
  8. Communicating with HMRC, navigating complex procedures and resolving issues efficiently.
  9. Handling corporate accounts, corporation tax returns, capital gains tax, and VAT returns reviews and submissions.
  10. Utilizing XERO accounting software and possessing working knowledge of multiple software platforms.

Requirements

  1. Part-qualified or qualified by experience ACCA, ACA certification.
  2. Proven experience in a similar finance practice role, demonstrating expertise and leadership skills.
  3. Proficient in IT, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and Xero.
  4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey key information effectively to colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.
