Key Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager at KPMG, you will be responsible for leading teams on wide-ranging clients in the National Markets portfolio, ensuring you are up-to-date with current requirements.

Accountabilities
  1. Act as a tax specialist in audit and tax reporting engagements, leading teams on a wide variety of clients.
  2. Lead by example in preparing and reviewing audit documentation.
  3. Act as a key intermediary between audit and tax departments, assisting with scoping and delivery of audits.
  4. Develop and maintain client relationships across a portfolio of clients.
  5. Develop and maintain internal relationships with the audit teams and other departments.
  6. Act as a specialist in the tax department, assisting colleagues with technical tax accounting queries.
Requirements
  1. ACA, ACCA, or CTA qualified.
  2. Experience of tax reporting requirements, compliance, and a good understanding of the UK tax regime.
  3. Working knowledge of US GAAP (desirable but not required).
  4. Project management/co-ordination skills and experience.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Accounting concepts.
  • Awareness of tax compliance/tax reporting.
  • Financial Reporting IFRS/UKGAAP/USGAAP.
  • Excellent Excel.
