About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner to join our Residential team in Stevenage. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in delivering an effective and professional service to the community.

The work of this post will be varied and will include investigating complaints of noise and other statutory nuisances, using statutory powers for public health protection, enforcing private sector housing standards, and taking action to bring empty homes back into use.

This role will involve hybrid working, with part of your time being office-based and part working from home.

About You:

  • You will be a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner, registered with the EHRB or CIEH.
  • You will have experience of enforcing Environmental Health legislation, including carrying out compliance inspections, gathering evidence, and taking legal proceedings.
  • You will be able to effectively apply your knowledge, skills, and experience to independently manage a caseload of complaint investigations and routine compliance inspections.
