About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Lavazza Professional UK. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying new electrical and electronic systems for our vending machines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electrical and electronic systems for vending machines
  • Manage internal electrical and electronic developments from concept to introduction
  • Collaborate with other departments and project members to achieve delivery of equipment projects
  • Provide technical support to resolve quality and supply issues originating with electrical and electronic parts
  • Develop and maintain design and manufacturing specifications for new and existing electrical and electronic products
Requirements
  • Honours Degree in Electronics
  • Member of IET and Engineering Council
  • Sound grounding in electronics theory (analogue, power, and digital)
  • Understanding of electrical design theory and practice (up to 230V)
  • Understanding of mechatronics as used in vending machines
  • Good practical build skills (e.g. soldering) for production of prototype and test rigs
  • Electronics CAD (Altium) skills for schematic and PCB layout
  • Electronic circuit simulation, design analysis, and mathematical modelling tools
  • Knowledge of legal standards and their application
  • Understanding of electronic assembly manufacturing processes
