Job Description

LGC Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to join our Global Program Management and Operational Excellence Team (PM&OE). As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in the identification and delivery of all facets of Global Strategic Programme Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Formulate, plan, and execute major change initiatives across a global footprint, with a significant portion of the role focused on leading and supporting new laboratory construction and set-up programs.
  • Work with other Program and Project Managers to develop best practice systems and processes for project and program execution.
  • Evolve internal processes and execute the team's strategy, including improving frameworks, training, and reporting.
  • Understand key organizational drivers behind strategic programs and work with stakeholders to formulate an appropriate program that meets those goals.
  • Act as Project Manager for significant pieces of work that require a higher level of experience within the Program.
  • Accountable for creating program plans, budgets, and risk registers, as well as identifying program and project interdependencies.
  • Communicate and overcome conflicting organizational priorities, ensuring timely resolution and/or escalation.
  • Identify and secure adequate resources for each program in conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Achieve and maintain program buy-in across all impacted functions.
  • Establish and evolve governance processes to maintain ongoing relevance and ensure key stakeholders are actively engaged.
Requirements
  • Formal qualification in project or program management (at practitioner level) and 10 years of experience.
  • Experience in construction and engineering projects involving new site builds and capability transfers.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Quality Management Systems and experience ensuring compliance to ISO and Regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and frequently with high levels of ambiguity.
  • Strong proficiency in stakeholder management, building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships across organizational boundaries.
  • Ability to influence individuals without having direct authority over them.
  • Able to challenge existing thinking in a positive way and manage change, guiding others through change.
  • Use sophisticated analytical processes and independent judgment to identify innovative solutions to unique and complex problems with a broad impact across disciplines/functions.
  • Experience of working with global cross-functional project teams.
  • Sound working knowledge of general business processes and organizational framework, such as goals, strategy, culture, and structure.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
  • Matrix management responsibility for Project and Senior Project Managers.
  • IT literate in systems, database technologies, data, and productivity tools.
