Mountjoy Isle of Wight Maintenance Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Residential Carpentry Specialist to join our team in the Isle of Wight. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for undertaking a variety of carpentry repairs and project works in residential properties, corporate buildings, and civic buildings.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, with experience in fitting various types of doors (including fire doors), first and second fixing carpentry, kitchen installations, DFG adaptations, ceramic wall tiling, minor plumbing, and decorative works.

You will also be expected to support the contract with site management of quoted/project works, carrying out operative observations on health and safety and quality of works, conducting equipment checks to ensure compliance, and working alongside supervisors to assist with in-progress job checks and materials sourcing.

In this role, you will diagnose and rectify faults within core and other trades-related repair requests, ensuring that the quality of work meets the highest possible standards at all times.

To be considered for this position, you must have a trade-specific qualification minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry, be competent in two other secondary skills, hold a full current driving license, and undergo a DBS check before commencement of the role.

Requirements:
