At Essity, we offer a competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

We are seeking a Sustainability Specialist to join our team in the North West operation. As a key member of our environmental team, you will provide specialist knowledge and expert advice to ensure compliance with local and European laws, as well as our company's sustainability strategy.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in an environmental role in an industrial setting, with a strong understanding of corporate and legislative requirements. They will also possess excellent data analysis skills, strong presentation skills, and the ability to react quickly under pressure.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with corporate and legislative requirements across all environment matters;
  • Identify important, emerging environmental trends and ensure that the Site is equipped to deal effectively with them;
  • Provide assurance of legal compliance in environmental matters;
  • Write, communicate and train on the Site's environmental policies;
  • Collaborate with other Environmental Specialists to identify and make available improvements and perform benchmarks internally with other sites;
  • Support broader engineering and technical teams in the impact of improvements in environmental issues;
  • Lead on internal audits with significant assets on site.
