Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at LJB Recruit. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of our construction projects, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies for specific projects, maintaining and maximising profitability.
  • Manage tender documentation, contracts, and formal notices, and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and financial risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, site managers, engineers, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and finalise project accounts, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with a main contractor, preferably on JCT Design and Build Contracts.
  • Proven track record of working on new build and refurbishment projects between £5-£15 million.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation, and resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
