Job Overview

W Talent is working with CorrBoard UK Ltd to find a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their expanding engineering team. This role will involve working in a dynamic 4-on, 4-off shift pattern, alternating between days and nights, to provide maintenance support and ensure adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Completing scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks and taking ownership of designated projects to improve overall performance.
  • Adhering to established processes and procedures, including the management and utilization of Engineering Stores parts.
  • Supplying maintenance engineering site cover for the manufacturing plant to ensure optimum production performance.
  • Identifying, communicating, and carrying out area's improvements in conjunction with the wider engineering team.
  • Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in a timely manner, as required by the CMMS system.
  • Completing all required documentation in a timely and efficient manner, including shift report and Pirana work orders.
  • Supporting Operations to ensure equipment and facilities are always functioning correctly.
  • Supporting Production where required to ensure the daily production plan is delivered in the right quantity, at the right time, and at the right quality.
  • Providing expert in-house advice and support on engineering matters.
  • Managing maintenance spares and supporting in controlling the maintenance budget.
  • Responsible for all activities involving external contractors working on the site.
  • Dealing with unscheduled and emergency maintenance work and breakdowns, including fault finding and necessary repair in a safe and timely manner.
  • Adhering to all policies and procedures and ensuring that you respect them, including health and safety, the elimination of waste, and care for the environment.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have experience in a packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG environment. You should also possess a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate the ability to respond effectively to breakdowns.
