In this role, you will:

  • SOURCE and build relationships with key suppliers
  • NEGOTIATE best price and lead times while monitoring performance
  • WORK closely with the procurement team to develop and execute purchasing strategies
  • TRACK and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • CRAFT negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
  • PARTNER with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
  • FORECAST price and market trends to identify changes in buyer-supplier power
  • PERFORM cost and scenario analysis, and bench-marking
  • ASSESS, manage, and mitigate risks
  • DETERMINE quantity and timing of deliveries
  • MONITOR and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced purchasing department at a senior level
  • Experience in using MRP/ERP systems
  • Desirable: Experience in buying fixings and fastenings from the far east
