Job Title: Electrical Test Systems Engineer

An exciting opportunity awaits you as an Electrical Test Systems Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in supporting current and future equipment introductions for testing HVDC Products. Your responsibilities will involve ensuring the efficient execution of complex electronic assembly testing, diagnostics, and maintenance activities for test equipment.

This position demands technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication to maintain high-quality standards and contribute to the company's long-term success.

Change Implementation: Implement changes for test equipment to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Timely Implementation: Implement test equipment promptly to support manufacturing operations.

Collaborative Problem-Solving: Work within a team environment to resolve issues and meet manufacturing goals and milestones.

Operator Training: Provide training and support to production operators for effective equipment usage.

Documentation Management: Update and create work instructions, risk assessments, and operator training documents.

Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives for test processes to enhance efficiency and quality.

Technical Authority Person (TAP): Serve as the competent person for production, ensuring compliance and safe working practices.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

Requirements:

  • SIGNIFICANT experience in a manufacturing test environment with knowledge of automated test equipment.
  • HNC/HND or Engineering Degree in an electrical/electronic-related discipline.
  • Familiarity with HVDC product testing processes is advantageous.
  • Understanding of IT requirements for test system integration, experience with Ni TestStand/LabVIEW, knowledge of advanced manufacturing methods, and familiarity with ISO standards are beneficial.
  • Able to work to deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal; knowledge of other languages is advantageous.
