Senior Business Development Executive

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Development Executive to join our team at iO Associates - UK/EU. As a key member of our Futures Business Unit, you will be responsible for winning new clients and driving business growth.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with experience in direct sales, research and development activities, technical solutions & services, and emerging products. You will work closely with our clients to understand their business challenges and provide innovative solutions to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior-level clients across various industries, including industrial manufacturing, materials, consumer packaged goods, scientific/engineering firms, automotive, pharma, medical devices manufacturing, aggrotech, and information technology.
- Demonstrate expertise in selling research and development activities, technical solutions & services, and emerging products to senior-level clients.
- Have a solid understanding of autonomy, machine vision, AI/ML, data science, and sensing technology.
- Ability to quickly understand business and market challenges from the client's perspective and provide innovative solutions to meet these challenges.
- Proven ability to quickly and effectively qualify opportunities and convert them into orders.
- Deliver winning bids in short timescales, acting as the voice of the customer.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in direct sales of research and development activities, technical solutions & services, and emerging products.
- Expertise in developing new client relationships at a senior level and supporting this with detailed account development strategies and plans to increase sales volumes.
- Strong understanding of autonomy, machine vision, AI/ML, data science, and sensing technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
