We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated history teacher to join our team on a one-term contract. As a cover teacher, you will play a vital role in ensuring students continue their historical journey, fostering a love of learning and a deeper understanding of the past.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft compelling narratives that engage students and make history relatable.
  • Empower young historians by encouraging them to ask questions, analyze primary and secondary sources, and develop their critical thinking skills.
  • Bridge the past to the present by helping students connect historical events to current issues and developments.
  • Collaborate with the History department and school leadership to ensure a smooth learning experience for all students.

Requirements:

  • A strong subject knowledge in History.
  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent desirable).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • A passion for engaging students and making history come alive in the classroom.
  • The ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: £30,000-£45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
