Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares financial analysis and reporting for the Credit Union, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, asset/liability management, and profitability analysis for products, channels, and markets.
  • Completes analysis of the monthly financial statements and rate/volume variance reports for interest income and expense analysis, liquidity, investments, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Maintains and provides data and analytics in support of the research and development efforts undertaken to improve the Credit Union's products, services, and operations.
  • Gathers and integrates data and contextual information for the design of rigorous analyses to support carefully crafted projections.
  • Prepares and creates financial models, analyses, spreadsheets, charts, and presentations that effectively present data and analytical findings as needed.
Requirements
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is usually of a personal or sensitive nature.
  • Strong personal computer skills (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat) with advanced skill level in MS Excel.
  • Requires strong knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting; skilled working with datasets.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Credit Union accounting policies and practices.
  • ProfitStars experience a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Education, Training & Experience
  • Five to Seven years of related finance experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
