We are a well-established general practice based in the East part of Bristol, approximately three miles from the city centre.



Job Summary:

The role of Medical Service Coordinator is critical in providing services and ensuring that patients have access to the most appropriate services for their needs. This includes face-to-face, telephone, and administrative work within a busy reception environment.



Main Duties:

  • Provide responsive and professional reception and patient navigation services to our 13,600+ patients.
  • Work within the Care Navigator team to sign-post patients appropriately to practice services in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Carry out duties within policies and procedures established by the Practice, including Health & Safety legislation.
  • Liaise with other staff members as necessary to ensure seamless service delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Making appointments for patients attending or calling by telephone using the computer system.
  • Receiving telephone requests and making arrangements for home visits.
  • Providing communication services as requested and required under the direction of other members of the team.


Person Specification:

  • Good basic education to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Experience dealing with the public in a retail, commercial, or public sector role.
  • Front-line work in a customer-focused industry, such as retail or service industries.


Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • IT literacy and basic knowledge of web-based and Windows-based systems.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent people skills, including dealing with challenging individuals.
  • Calm and organized under pressure.
  • Honesty and punctuality.


Salary:

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
