About the Role
NHS Blood and Transplant is a leading organization in the field of blood and transplantation, and we are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biomedical Scientist Trainee to join our team. As a Biomedical Scientist Trainee, you will play a critical role in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting the results of specialist Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform, analyze, and interpret molecular and serological based testing in relation to solid organ and haematopoietic stem cell transplant and immunogenetic services.
- Assist with quality management issues within the laboratory, under the direction of the Clinical Scientists Section Head and Laboratory Operations Manager.
- Contribute to the coordination and supervision of the work, training, and conduct of scientific and support staff.

Requirements
- Qualifications and Training: Trainee Biomedical Scientist or equivalent.
- Experience and Knowledge: Experience in laboratory equipment and techniques, and working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages.
