Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class 2 Driver to join our team at People Solutions Group. As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for delivering construction materials to various locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Class 2 vehicles to deliver construction materials to customers and depots
  • Conduct pre and post-journey vehicle checks to ensure safety and compliance
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet customer expectations
  • Load and unload materials from vehicles
  • Complete delivery paperwork and logs accurately
  • Operate vehicles in accordance with all legal and company safety requirements
  • Communicate with the logistics team regarding any delays or issues on the road
Requirements
  • Valid UK Category C driving licence (held for a minimum of two years)
  • Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence)
  • Valid digital tachograph card (Digi Card)
  • Good understanding of driving safety and regulations
  • Good time management and communication skills
  • Physically fit and capable of handling goods if required
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous experience delivering perishable goods or working in the food and beverage industry
  • Familiarity with local and regional road networks
  • Good customer service skills
  • Experience using in-vehicle technology and navigation systems
  • Flexibility to cover extra shifts if necessary
