Job Title: Geography Teacher for Secondary Schools

Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified Geography Teacher to join our team on a temporary basis in Secondary schools across South East England, Buckinghamshire, and High Wycombe.

Job Type:

This is a temporary position, expected to work full-time hours, with the possibility of becoming permanent in the future.

Salary:

£130 - £180 per day

Qualifications:

Geography degree, QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

Skills:

Resilient, confident, and able to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

Job Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons to secondary school students
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress to ensure learning objectives are met
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall teaching experience
Required Qualifications:

Geography degree, QTS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Geography

Experience:

Prior experience teaching geography at the secondary school level is preferred

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of the geography curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate certificate in education (PGCE) specialising in Geography

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a secondary school setting, following the school term calendar. Full-time hours are expected, and flexibility may be required to adapt to the school's schedule.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
