Job Title: Highway Construction Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer/Project Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the UK's largest infrastructure project, HS2, in Birmingham.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As the Senior Engineer, you will review design changes and instruct setting out engineers of any changes.
  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks on-site.
  • Monitor and check setting-out works.
  • Handle RFI s, call-offs.
  • Carry out temporary works inspections.
  • Raise technical queries on design issues.
  • Attend meetings with clients.
  • Maintain HSE standards and report any issues.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in heavy civils reinforced concrete (nuclear, infrastructure).
  • In-depth knowledge of reinforcement drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience managing reinforced concrete quality procedures/records in heavily regulated environments (infrastructure/nuclear).
  • Proven communication skills.
  • Experience in formwork/RC temporary works.
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent qualification).
  • Main contractor experience in engineering roles on major infrastructure projects.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
