Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Lead to oversee and maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality, and compliance at our Northamptonshire site. This role involves leading technical initiatives, collaborating with enforcement officers and customer representatives, and ensuring adherence to HACCP, Quality Management Systems, and UK regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical leadership roles, preferably within meat manufacturing, and possess strong knowledge of HACCP, BRC, and major retailer requirements and audit standards.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain BRC accreditation and ensure readiness for audits.
  • Ensure all staff have appropriate certification and a clear understanding of hygiene practices.
  • Implement and uphold HACCP and Due Diligence procedures.
  • Identify weaknesses in production practices and establish corrective strategies.
  • Set and monitor standards for chemical and microbiological results.
  • Train and manage a multidisciplinary HACCP team, including production and senior management members.
  • Ensure product and packaging compliance with current UK regulations and codes of practice.
