About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading aggregates provider in Scotland to recruit an experienced Heavy Equipment Technician for their maintenance team at Glenrothes headquarters.

This mobile role requires a skilled professional with a full driving license to support operations across multiple sites as needed.

About You

The ideal candidate will have experience in the quarry, mining, or transport industry, though relevant mechanical expertise from other sectors will also be considered.

You should thrive both as a team player and independently, with a sharp eye for detail and a solid commitment to health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections, repairs, and maintenance on plant equipment and HGVs, ensuring all vehicles and equipment are safe and operational.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs in designated logbooks.
  • Stay updated on new servicing and safety standards for equipment and vehicles.
  • Assess and verify roadworthiness and safety of vehicles and equipment.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for operated vehicles.
  • Adhere to the Highway Code and notify management of any motoring convictions immediately.
  • Candidates must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanics, quarry, mining, or transport industry.
  • Diploma or equivalent in a relevant trade or subject.
  • Full UK driving license (with no more than 3 points).
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Estimated Salary: £42,500 per annum, depending on experience. Our competitive salary reflects the importance of this role in our organization.
