Vocal Ensemble Leader

Job Summary:
Lucy's Pop Choir is seeking a skilled Musical Theatre Director to lead our vocal ensemble in York. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging performances, leading rehearsals, and managing logistics. The successful candidate will have experience in directing musical theatre productions, a strong understanding of vocal technique, and the ability to inspire and motivate performers. You will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality shows that showcase the talents of our singers. This is a part-time, permanent position with a competitive hourly rate of £40.00, paid bi-weekly. The estimated annual salary would be £18,000.00 based on a 3-7 hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and direct musical theatre performances, including rehearsals and dress rehearsals
• Lead vocal warm-ups and sectionals to prepare performers for performances
• Coordinate logistics, including venue rentals, equipment, and scheduling
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth delivery of performances
• Develop and maintain relationships with local schools, community groups, and partners
