We are a dynamic and busy multi-discipline engineering consultancy seeking an Associate level Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Structures team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking structural design on projects including commercial, industrial, education, and residential developments up to multi-million pounds in value.

About the Role

  • Lead structural design teams on multiple projects, focusing on managing resources to achieve successful project delivery.
  • Mentor junior members of your team, providing guidance and support to help them progress in their careers.
  • Represent our client at internal and external meetings, undertaking site visits to monitor progress and ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Check calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports produced by others to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure our designs meet the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Degree in civil or structural engineering with at least 9 years' experience within a UK consultancy.
  • Chartered, MIStructE, or ICE, or working towards.
  • Extensive structural design experience in all traditional materials, including steel, concrete, and timber.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills, with the ability to represent our client at internal and external meetings.
  • Proficient in TEDDs, Tekla, and Revit.
