Job Overview
We are currently seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at ENGINEERINGUK. As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting supplier performance and building long-term relationships with our suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about fast-paced retail or has experience working in the FMCG industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of buying and range planning principles, as well as operational skills such as influencing, negotiation, stakeholder management, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting manager to manage supplier performance and build long-term supplier relationships
  • Using insight tools to analyse performance issues and opportunities
  • Conducting regular store/website visits and reviewing customer insight and food trends
  • Negotiating with suppliers to agree and deliver market-leading buy/move/sell plans
  • Supporting delivery of trade, promotions & events plan
  • Supporting Supply Chain Plan
  • Working with suppliers to ensure product quality is achieved and maintained
  • Adhering to Tesco policies and protocols
  • Following Business Code of Conduct and acting with integrity


Requirements
  • Passion for fast-paced retail or experience of working in an FMCG organisation
  • Buying or range & trade planning experience
  • Operational skills including influencing & negotiation, stakeholder management, and data analysis


Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum depending on experience
