Construction Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager to join our team at Kier Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with safety plans, method statements, and risk assessments, and enforce the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Oversee and implement quality control measures, including Short Interval Control procedures and manage the daily maintenance schedule of all systems.
  • Work closely with the CSO programme team to deliver construction projects safely and efficiently.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress, including site reports and quality control documentation.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 6 qualification in Construction Site Management or a related field, or a Higher National Certificate/Diploma or degree in Construction Management.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and practical application of a construction site's setup and day-to-day running.
  • Hold a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card - Supervisor - Gold Experienced Supervisor or Manager.
  • Have site-related training such as confined space, fire marshal, first aid, and temporary work supervisor certifications.
