**Job Title:** SEN Teaching Assistant

**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning needs, including autism, down's syndrome, speech and language challenges, and social, emotional needs.

**About the School:** Our school provides a unique, specialist environment that closely fits the needs and challenges that our students face. We offer a therapeutic curriculum that provides all the subjects that a secondary aged student should expect. Our classes range from 6-8 in size, with a focus on implementing effective communication techniques.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support students with a range of learning needs in a secondary school setting
  • Implement effective communication techniques to support student learning
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide 1-1 support to students as needed
  • Participate in therapy sessions and other activities to support student well-being

**Requirements:**

  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Desirable: psychology degree or specialist SEN training

**Salary:** £83-90 per day
