Industrial Electrician Position

About the Role:

As an Industrial Electrician at National Nuclear Laboratory Careers, you will be responsible for maintaining electrical and instrumentation plant systems. This role requires a strong background in electrical engineering and maintenance, as well as excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain electrical and instrumentation plant systems.
  • Carry out project work, breakdown repairs, and safe isolations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

  • Time-served electrician or instrument mechanic holding recognized apprenticeship (e.g., NVQ level 3 Electrical Instrumentation or equivalent).
  • Able to understand single-line electrical drawings, instructions, and manuals.
  • Proficient in English and maths.
  • Becoming Developed Vetting cleared (includes identity, employment, financial, criminal record checks, interview, and 10 years of UK residency).
  • Self-motivated, driven, and resilient.
  • Able to make correct and informed decisions under pressure.
  • Evidence of self-motivation with demonstrable levels of drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Required to become Appointed as a Nominated Person Electrical.
