Salary

This role is unpaid, however it offers a great deal of experience and satisfaction. Reasonable expenses will be covered by the Trust to support occasional travel to attend quarterly board meetings.

Job Description

We are seeking additional Trustees from across the North East of England to support our charity and its services in Cumbria, County Durham, and Northumberland. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to strategic planning and decision-making at a local level.

Key responsibilities will include attending quarterly board meetings, participating in sub-committees, and providing independent judgement on various matters. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to fundraising efforts and help shape the future direction of the charity.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in strategic planning, corporate and charities law, fundraising, and project management. A strong understanding of HR, culture, and people development would also be beneficial.

We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of Trustees and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
