Advanced Podiatrist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Podiatrist to join our team in South Manchester. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of patients with complex high-risk foot conditions and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for patients with pathological foot conditions, including wound care, vascular assessment, and off-loading.
• Develop and implement individualized care programs for patients with a wide range of clinical needs, including acute or chronic neuropathies, chronic diseases, diabetes, and renal disease.
• Work closely with the diabetes MDT in Wythenshawe Hospital to provide specialist care for patients with diabetes and other complex conditions.
• Support the Podiatry Manager in management and leadership responsibilities.

Person Specification

• Essential qualifications: Degree in Podiatry, HCPC registration, and professional knowledge gained through post-graduate degree modules.
• Desirable qualifications: Member of RCoP and relevant Masters module.
• Essential experience: MDT working and ability to work independently.
• Personal attributes: Good organisational skills, IT skills, ability to negotiate and influence, and ability to handle sensitive situations.
