Job Title: Teaching Assistant - Foundation Phase and KS2

Job Summary:

We are seeking a responsible and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our team at Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. The successful candidate will work with groups of children and form part of a team of teaching assistants working across foundation phase and KS2.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to teachers and other educational staff in the classroom and during educational activities.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of educational programs and activities.
  • Work with children to promote their learning and development.
  • Support the development of educational resources and materials.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Good people skills with adults and children.
  • Must be qualified to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a related childcare discipline.

Working Arrangements:

This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be required to work across all age ranges, including foundation phase and KS2.
