We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at The Mill on the Exe, a contemporary pub with comfy rooms located on the outskirts of Exeter city centre. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for motivating a team of passionate people, supporting and occasionally stepping in for the General Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take the helm when the General Manager is away, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Create a warm welcome to guests, making every first impression count.
- Keep a watchful eye over customer feedback, adapting to maintain high standards and improve where necessary.
- Support the full team, including Front and Back of House, during peak times.
- Oversee the consistent production of a quality food offering and recognise the importance of the Kitchen Team.
- Recognise when team members need help and provide support where needed.
- Keep all admin and cash management systems ticking along as they should, taking responsibility when the General Manager is away.
- Know health and safety regulations like the back of your hand.
- Be an inspiring role model and a source of support and development for team members.
- Prioritise your own development, with an eye towards becoming a General Manager one day.
