Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Support Worker. This role involves working closely with a client who requires support with daily living activities, personal care, and clinical needs.

About the Client:

The client is a gentleman in his 30s with quadriplegic cerebral palsy. He requires assistance with PEG feeding, medication administration, and moving and handling. He communicates through eye movement or typing on his iPad.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to the client, including assistance with daily living activities.
  • Support the client in pursuing his interests and passions, such as fitness and physical wellbeing.
  • Attend art sessions and community activities with the client, including theatre shows and shopping trips.
  • Assist with medication administration and PEG feeding as required.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to the client.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with clients with complex needs, preferably in a care or support role.
  • Full UK driver's licence and access to a vehicle, due to the remote location of the client's home.
