Plant and Equipment Maintenance Lead

The Plant and Equipment Maintenance Lead will oversee all operational matters relating to the effective maintenance of plant and equipment on the site. This includes ensuring that CBRE Safety Rules and Procedures are adhered to by all site personnel within the engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning the work for the team, allocating tasks, and ensuring that all records are updated and maintained to standards required. They will also be responsible for quality checks on works completed by the team, liaison with key stakeholders, and productivity management of the team. Additionally, the Plant and Equipment Maintenance Lead will be responsible for ensuring that the team has a Performance Development Plan (PDP) in place and adequate training is planned and booked. They will also be required to carry out the duties of Authorised Person (AP) for HV-LV Electrical systems, Confined Space, Systems etc, dependent upon their qualifications. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a good knowledge of Building Management Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, and General Building Services. They will also have a strong understanding of safety procedures and practices and be able to impart knowledge and safety training to all members of staff. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in people management in a highly regulated environment and be working towards Incorporated Engineering registration with CIBSE or IET or IMechE or another approved engineering body. They will also have an IOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all matters relating to Health and Safety legislative requirements are fully documented and understood by all site staff and subcontractors involved in the maintenance of plant and equipment. They will also be required to assist in the development and adherence to method statements, ensuring best working practices are established and maintained. The Plant and Equipment Maintenance Lead will work closely with the site and client management during any emergency operations or procedures and assist the client with resolution of technical matters arising from installed equipment or maintenance of this equipment. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled and experienced engineer with a strong understanding of safety procedures and practices and be able to impart knowledge and safety training to all members of staff.
